not sure what you did about getting a new bike but I was in the same boat as you. I had got an Intense street bike and it was way too heavy for me and made it way hard to learn on. I just recently picked up an 09 fit park 3 and it is a lot lighter and a lot easier to learn on. Wheels stay true longer, parts are stronger, bike is lighter. Over all much better to learn on somthing better. dont care about what you look like. I am a 30 year old trying to learn again like i'm 15
